Financially, I have no complain. I reached my target. Otherwise, it was disappointing. (I’m not gonna elaborate. I hate bad memories. )

For 2012 though, things are looking bright! With a baby boy, more than half of dreams are fulfilled.

I said more than half because my dreams are very simple: to be really rich(49%) and to become the best father in the world(51%)!

Baby Jacob is the best thing that ever happened to me. In fact, I’m more excited to see him than get my visa extended.

Today, I got my new visa. So that means I will be working my butt off for another year again…which is not a bad thing since now I will have to save for me & my baby’s future.

I told myself that I need to save at least PHP10M to retire. But with Jacob on the side, I will have to raise that to PHP20M, in case he decides to take law or medicine when he gets to college.

At present rate, I’m on my way to my early retirement at 45. If I’m lucky, I can retire in 5years. But I’m not in a hurry.

My problem now is what to do after retirement. I could start my own business or enter politics…whichever can give me fulfillment.

But I just want to take each step at a time. For now, I’m just gonna shop for new toys for my baby.

Naku hihimatayin ako sa laki ng buwis! Buwis-buhay talaga. As in nabubuhay na lang ako para magbayad ng buwis.

Pero sobrang paghahanda pa man din ang ginawa ko kahapon para mag-compute ng tax deductibles kaso wala na akong mai-deduct dahil wala akong supporting documents.

And sistema kasi dito sa Japan, dalawang major-major taxes ang kailangan bayaran ng bawat individual. Yung income tax at residential tax (Prefectural tax + City tax).

Yung income tax ay buwis na bayad sa kinita mo last year. At yung residential tax naman ay buwis na bayad sa kinita mo 2 years ago.

So kung 2 years ago pa yun, malamang na naitapon ko na yung mga papeles na yun.

Kailangan kong magbayad ng tax para makapag-renew ng visa at makakuha ng health insurance.

Kaso pag punta ko sa ward office, ipinasa ko lang yung papers, kinumpyut nila yung tax, at pinababalik pa ako bukas para magbayad. Ang tanong, bakit hindi nila pwedeng tanggapin ang bayad ko today??

Hay naku, bureaucracy.

Pero very hectic ang sked ko dahil pupunta ako ng Korea sa March at uuwi ng Pinas sa April. Tapos wala pa ‘kong tourist visa for Korea dahil kailangan daw nila ng at least 3 months na re-entry permit para mag-apply eh 1 month na lang eh mag-e-expire na ang re-entry permit ko.

Nakaka-stress talaga! Nakabili na ko ng ticket for Korea at naka-reserve na rin ang hotel. Pero kung di ako makakakuha ng visa, cancel lahat ng plans ko.

But for now, kain muna ‘ko ng lunch. Tom Jones na ‘ko.

Ang hula ko, hindi updated ang database na ginagamit ko dati kaya ayaw nyang gumana. Ilang beses na kasing nag-update ang wordpress eh hindi ko pa rin ina-update ang blog ko. (Kung hindi nyo naiintindihan ang sinasabi ko, ok lang. Basta technical problem yun.)

I’m sure by now alam nyo ng nag-start ulit ako ng bagong blog. Yung “Tootsie Rocha.com.” Actually, marami pa akong blog. Yung iba kasi eh about programming so hindi ko na ipo-post dito dahil malamang na hindi nyo naman babasahin.

Anyways, nag-decide akong i-update pa rin ang blog na ‘to at huwag i-delete ang mga old posts ko. Medyo luma na ang iba pero basahin nyo pa rin kung “hima”* kayo.

Gagawin ko na ring Filipino(Tagalog) ang official language ng blog na ‘to dahil English na ang TootsieRocha.com eh medyo dumudugo na ang ilong ko kasusulat dun.

Marami akong updates pero sige next time na lang. Io-organize ko muna ang mga thoughts ko dahil hindi ko alam kung saan sisimulan ang kwento.

Sya nga pala, “Happy New Year!”

*hima(暇) in Japanese means may free time kayo. Hindi bastos yun.

Well, sige kwento na lang ng kwento as if may kausap. Hehehe.

Sige sisimulan ko ang kwento from 2007. (Flashback ba? Humanda kayo kasi isang taong kwento ‘to. Hehehe.) Nagkakalabuan kami ni Kazu. As in ang labo talaga. Lagi kaming nag-aaway as in magkatitigan lang eh nagtatalo kami. At wala namang manalo dahil pareho kaming matigas ang ulo.

Ako naman as usual eh anal-yze ng anal-yze kung ano talaga ang naging problema namin. Siguro nagkasawaan na kami dahil lagi kaming magkasama sa bahay at trabaho. As in araw at gabi eh magkasama kami. Tapos hindi rin namin mapaghiwalay ang professional (naks!) at personal life namin. I mean sya ang boss sa work, pero sa bahay dapat pantay lang di ba?

Anyway, nagtapos ang lahat ng mahuli ko syang nangangarir ng iba. Galing ako nuon sa Tokyo Disneyland kasama ni Ate Noems (sister ko). Pagdating ko eh wala sya sa bahay. So pumunta ako sa kwarto nya at naghalungkat. Hanap-hanap ng ebidensya. At ayun lumitaw na! Picture nya with a boylet sa “Purikura“. Nagpunta pala sila sa Okayama…at nagpa-picture pa! Tapos ng tingnan ko ang isang wallet sya, lumitaw naman ang isang “origami” na pa-heart shape. Nangbuklatin ko eh may message pa sa loob with matching picture ulit. Actually, hindi pa openned ang origami/letter so hindi pa siguro nababasa ni Papsy yun nung basahin ko.

Actually napansin ko na yun nung first time na makita ko sa TV yun pero I wonder why hindi napansin nung iba yun.

So ang tanong ko lang, may screening pa ba ng sexuality ang mga gustong maging members? Paano kaya ang audition, may ipapakita silang mga flash card ng mga nakahubad na lalake at babae and TITIngnan nila kung may tatayo ba o wala?

Hay naku sayang…gusto ko pa man ding sumali. (As if kaya kong mag-split!)

Gusto ko sanang magalit dahil inamin nya na on national TV pa na dini-discriminate nila ang mga gays sa cheering squad nila pero who cares ba? Sino ba namang gay ang gustong sumali sa mga cheering squad? (Imagine magbubuhat ka ng mga girls at hahawakan mo sila sa puwet!) And besides hindi sa cheering squad nag-o-audition ang mga gay men ‘no…sa basketball team!

In other news, I was so excited this morning anticipating a rise on the Philippine stock market [and other Asian markets] as the US Fed finally decided to cut the interest rate by 0.5% on Friday. But President Manuel L. Quezon‘s 129th birthday is being commemorated today (very bad timing!) so the Phil. Stock Exchange is closed!

I can only hope Wall Street gain more points again today as it will probably be the deciding factor on what will happen tomorrow in the Philippines stock market.

No matter how close you become to someone, there would come a time when he will not be around you anymore…and you would miss him for a while…and maybe he would miss you too. But you will meet new friends and he will do too. And before you know it, life is just going by like it used too…like nothing happened.

61 stars are removed from Hollywood’s Walk of Fame to make way for the $500-million hotel-shopping-housing project being built on Vine Street near Hollywood Boulevard.

Frank Sinatra’s star is among the stars that were removed & placed in a secure warehouse, where they’ll remain until the project is completed in 2009.

Some fans are angry saying this was done for a private developer and not for the public’s interest, like when the stars were removed back in the ’90s for the Metro Red Line (subway) construction.
